NASHVILLE, TN -- Ricochet announces today the addition of drummer
Tim Chewning as the newest member of the award-winning Columbia
Records group replacing Jeff Bryant. Bryant has a degenerative case
of carpal tunnel syndrome, which effects the wrists and forearms,
requiring surgery.
Tim Chewning performed in his new capacity as the sixth member
of Ricochet Wednesday, August 11 in Rifle, Colorado. Chewning is
no stranger to the stage or the road. He has performed background
harmonies and played drums for John Michael Montgomery, Kathy Mattea
and the Elektra/Asylum rock group the Shaking Family.
Ricochet is based on music with depth, powerful harmonies and outstanding
musicianship. Recently, ABC televised their flawless performance
of the National Anthem at the Brickyard 400 NASCAR race. The group
will be entering the studio with veteran Nashville producer David
Malloy this fall to work on their third Columbia Records release.
Ricochet is on a current tour with upcoming stops in Dayton, OH
(Aug. 14); Shownegan, ME (Aug. 17); Lewes, DE (Aug. 18); Gathersburg,
MD (Aug. 19); Dayton, PA (Aug. 20) and Vian, OK on August, 29 for
their 4th Annual Green Country Jam with proceeds going to St. Jude's
Children's Research Hospital
