RICOCHET
WHAT YOU LEAVE BEHIND
Despite an impressive array of career accomplishments including
an award from the Academy of Country Music, multiple hit singles
and many industry kudos, the release of their brand new disc WHAT
YOU LEAVE BEHIND proves that RICOCHET remain, above all
else, consummate musicians.
On both their incredible self-titled debut disc and sophomore project,
Blink Of An Eye, the group has continued to reap critical attention
praising their instrumental prowess and peerless harmonies. Comprised
of musicians Jr., Bryant (vocals, fiddle, mandolin and guitar),
Tim Chewning (vocals, drums and percussion), Greg Cook (vocals and
bass guitar), Shannon Farmer (steel guitar, dobro, lap steel, guitar)
Eddie Kilgallon (vocals, guitar, keyboards, saxophone) and Heath
Wright (lead vocals, guitar, fiddle) the group has chalked up an
hit parade of radio smashes such as "Daddy's Money" (which remains
a Country Gold Top 20 single) "What Do I Know", "Love Is Stronger
Than Pride" and "Blink Of An Eye". The band also picked up acknowledgments
from industry publication Radio & Records (Reader's Poll
"Group of the Year") and were named the #1 selling group in country
music for 19 straight weeks.
After devoting more than two years to writing and
recording new material in anticipation of their next record, RICOCHET
have completed the long-awaited disc, WHAT YOU LEAVE BEHIND.
The first single from the highly anticipated album "She's Gone"
has been released and zooming up the country charts. Their third
project on Columbia Records Nashville, the disc teams the group
with award-winning producers David Malloy, Blake Chancey and Ron
Chancey, renowned music professionals who have worked with some
of the biggest names in music including Reba McEntire, Dixie Chicks
and Oak Ridge Boys, respectively. The truest reflection of the band's
individual gifts, WHAT YOU LEAVE BEHIND features three songs penned
by group members showcasing their growing musical depth and musical
virtuosity.
Widely regarded for their powerful vocal harmonies and outstanding
musicianship. Part of that appeal is their amazing a capella presentations,
RICOCHET was invited to be performing presenters at the coveted
CMA Awards where they presented their category's nominations and
winners via a and written a capella song. Four of the members of
RICOCHET are accomplished songwriters with numerous cuts by other
artists, including keyboard player Eddie Kilgallon's co-write on
George Strait's #1 hit "One Night At A Time" which was chosen as
ASCAP's "Song Of The Year".
Tireless live performers, RICOCHET have performed an astonishing
650 shows in the last four years, including arena tours with John
Michael Montgomery, Marty Stuart and Travis Tritt. Their powerful,
no-holds-barred show has helped earn them a legion of faithful fans
and the group still maintains a jam-packed touring schedule earning
them a high-profile title tour sponsorship with leading western
wear company Wrangler.
Additionally, the group made NASCAR history this year by virtue
of their Sponsorship of Qualifying Day for this fall's Winston 500
at Talladega Superspeedway, a first for a musical act. "RICOCHET
QUALIFYING DAY," will take place Friday, October 13 and will feature
a unique RICOCHET logo, designed specially for the event that will
be displayed throughout the Speedway including Victory Lane and
the track's tri-oval area. RICOCHET will be participating in a series
of events throughout the race weekend beginning with a special VIP
acoustic show on Friday in the Hospitality Village and consummating
with a full blown grandstand concert immediately prior to the WINSTON
500 on Sunday. RICOCHET will also be performing the National Anthem,
which will be broadcast live over ESPN.
RICOCHET has also gained a reputation as the most requested National
Anthem performers in country music. The group regularly performs
"The Star Spangled Banner" for the Professional Football, Baseball
and Hockey leagues, along with NASCAR Winston Cup Races, Professional
Rodeo Cowboy's Association and Professional Bull Riders rodeos.
Ricochet is a band that remains driven by their passion for music,
their unyielding desire to create and entertain. And it's that intensity
that is captured on WHAT YOU LEAVE BEHIND, a personal and powerful
collection from a band that just keeps getting better.
